Homewood Suites by Hilton @ Salina
Homewood Suites by Hilton @ Salina expects to earn the hotel of choice for Salina visitors according to TripAdvisor reviewers, much as its sister properties have in Kansas City and Wichita. The five-story hotel will be located on Mulberry Street between South Santa Fe Avenue and South Fifth Street – providing easy access to Salina’s premier businesses and Salina Regional Health Center as well as a diverse variety of arts, dining, entertainment, shopping and sports venues. The hotel is within a 28-block district designated for revitalization in downtown Salina. The ambitious project was envisioned by Salina 20/20 Inc., a group of Salina civic and business leaders, including members of the Walker family, intent on revitalizing the city’s downtown. The $100 million development includes an arts district featuring the historic Stiefel Theatre and arts studios, a new classic car museum, The Alley entertainment center, Kenwood Park and Tony’s event center. A new Salina Field House has already opened to accommodate indoor sports activities and tournaments. Much of the development will be complete when the hotel opens in summer of 2019.
The new Homewood Suites @ Salina will offer 113 sophisticated and stylish suite accommodations. Designed to provide the comforts of home for both business and leisure travelers, each suite will feature a full kitchen with a refrigerator/ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, range and cookware. Also included is a workstation with complimentary Internet, 42-inch HDTV and Serta bed. Meeting and event facilities include a room that accommodates up to 200 and can be sub-divided for smaller functions, and two boardrooms for intimate meetings and conferences. Additional amenities will include a library, lodge for daily breakfast buffet and weekday evening social, and courtyard with patio and fire pit.
Dining will be central to the Homewood @ Salina experience. The 5,500 square-foot restaurant will be operated as YaYa’s Eurobistro. Yaya’s is a highly regarded brand of PB&J Restaurants out of Overland Park, Kansas. Zagat has rated Yaya’s as a “Top Restaurant”. PB&J currently operates Yaya’s in Kansas City, Denver, St. Louis and Little Rock.
